NEW MEXICO HOUSING

This project, in conjunction with an enlightened New Mexico housing developer, reflects our collective commitment to sustainable design and building. Their on going mission to incorporate sustainable development and building techniques into all of their affordable housing communities is exemplary and should provide inspiration to much of the development we see in our own area that lags behind these pressing issues. Using the Green Communities Initiative, this effort yields results in significant benefits to the environment and the community such as: reduction in the consumption of natural resources, reduction in waste to landfills, reduction in the consumption of fossil fuels and as a result cleaner air, healthier living environments and reduction in resident utility costs. This project, for 55 senior housing units, has been awarded financing and will begin construction in the fall of 2007.
