COLORADO ARTIST'S COLLECTIVE

We were asked to provide a scheme for a first phase of a development that will eventually become a collective for artists to live and work in. The site for this project is fourteen acres including this abandoned soy bean storage and processing facility on the high mesa in western Colorado. This has been a refreshing respite from the Kansas vernacular we have been frequenting. To add to the complexity of the problem our client also purchased a one hundred year old bridge that was to be relocated on the site and to serve as a residence for her in the future as the collective takes shape. This is an exciting opportunity to reclaim an old agricultural facility as well as saving an old steel trussed bridge and turn them into something very special to serve as an attraction for artists and their clients. Renderings show the bridge proposal.
